Ford is coming to Corktown to deepen its roots in Detroit. The American automobile giant purchased our city’s beloved and historic Michigan Central Station in June 2018 and has concrete plans to revitalize the building and area around it with a four-year renovation. The former grand train station will be the centerpiece of a 1.2 million-square-foot campus that will “test out mobility concepts and city solutions and understand the role transportation plays in revitalizing cities.” (Corporate.Ford.com).
We’re proud of Corktown and because we are just 1.1 miles from the Michigan Central Station, we look forward to providing a comfortable and trendy home base for those traveling to Detroit to visit Ford’s Corktown campus. Our onsite restaurant and local favorite, Red Dunn Kitchen, is an ideal spot for drinks and incredible game- and poultry-based American cuisine for everyone in the area.
