Q. I want to ship a package to arrive before or during my stay. Do you allow this?
A. Yes! We’re happy to accept packages for guests. Please send the package to Hotel Trumbull and Porter Hotel Attention: (Guest’s Name),1331 Trumbull Ave Detroit 48216. If you’d like to let us know when the package is sent, we’ll be happy to make a note to keep an eye out for it. Please note that if the guest has already departed when the package arrives, we cannot hold it and will return the packages to the sender.

Q. What forms of payment are accepted to pay for my room?
A. We accept all major credit cards/debit cards. When you check in to the hotel, we will hold the full room and tax total, plus $150 hold per stay for incidentals. The $150 incidental hold, if no charges incurred, will be released within 2-4 business days after check out. We do not accept checks and cash for room charges. Credit card deposit is required to check-in, and we are unable to accept cash deposits under any circumstances.

Q. I booked on a website other than the hotel website and I need to make a change to my reservation. How do I do this?
A. You must go through the booking agent/website that you went through in order to change your reservation.

Q. What is the minimum age requirement to check-in to the room?
A. You must be 21 years of age with a valid ID to check in to the hotel.

Q. What is your cancellation/deposit policy?
A. We require a credit card at the time of booking. You must cancel at least 48 hours prior to arrival (3pm local hotel time) to avoid a one night’s room and tax to your card. Please note that for special rates, packages and certain seasons, this policy is subject to change. Credit card deposit is required to check-in, we are unable to accept cash deposits under any circumstances.

Q. Is my ID/passport and credit card/ debit card required at check-in?
A. We require presentation of a valid government-issued identification and credit card or debit card at the time of check-in.


Q. Do you have connecting rooms?
A. Yes, we have some connecting rooms at the hotel. You may make a request for connecting rooms when you reserve your rooms. However, they are subject to availability and not guaranteed.

Q. Are pets allowed? Are there restrictions for weight, height or types?
A. Yes, we are a pet-friendly hotel and pets are welcomed at the hotel for a $50 PER NIGHT and 50 pound maximum. Pets cannot be left unattended at the hotel. You must stay with your pet at all times. Pets must be leashed or in a carrier at all times while outside of your room.  A signed pet agreement will be required upon check-in. [email protected] let them know you’ll be bringing your pet so a pet-friendly room can be assigned to you.

Q. What are the hours of the restaurant/bar/lounge?
A. We have BURROUGHS LOUNGE and BLACK GINGER RESTAURANT located on-site and open daily. Please visit the WEBSITE for up-to-date hours.

Q. Do you have accessible rooms?
A. Yes, we have accessible suites. These suites include roll-in showers with support bars and chair.

Q. Do you have on-site parking? Where is parking located? How much is parking?
A. Yes. We provide on-site secure gated parking to our hotel guest at the property. The parking fee is $20/night with unlimited in-and-out access.
On-site RV/Bus/Truck parking is also available with $20/space/night parking fee. Vehicles with power generator trailer cannot be parked behind gated parking area.

Q. Do you have room service?
A. Sorry we don’t have room service.  But you can order food delivery for 24H
